Hi today's  Date is the 09/01/24 time is now 11.49pm I have just gone on to my ovo app and it is refusing to open up it is stating taking to long to open can anybody  else confirm  if they are having issues  or if ovo can confirm  if there is a technical issues as also the option of making payment on mobile phone app as Disappeard. 

It’s probably just you, I’ve just tested and it’s working fine for me.

Test details:

Device Codename: Dewott w/ Android 14 & One UI 6.0

App Version 19.0.0/CodePush v440

Try it again.


 


That is not the app. Please download it from the Google Play store. 


This is what is coming up plus just checked with other friend and there app down 2 but I have actually  just downloaded  another ovo app Different  lay out but it works 


That was the previous  1 I have used for ages up till yesterday 


I have tested both the app and MyOVO just now. Both are working for me.

Please do all of the following:

  1. Download the actual OVO Energy app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ovo.energy - if you click this link on your phone, it’ll go direct to the Google Play store and bring it right up. This is the app you want to be using, not the web browser that you have been using
  2. Update ALL apps and make sure auto-updates are on for them, as per https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/113412?hl=en-GB
  3. Update your device via Settings > Software Update - keep doing this until there’s no more updates

I’ve been getting this same message when trying to log on from PC (using 2 different browsers) for the last 2 hours

 

It looks like there is a problem with accounts.ovoenergy.com which is what it tries to connect to when trying to log in from pc


I still cannot reproduce the issue. Please use the mobile app, NOT a web browser. account.ovoenergy.com is the wrong place to go - it’s https://my.ovoenergy.com .


Not using the mobile app, trying to log onto my account with pc FROM THE MAIN WEB PAGE using PC . IT WILL NOT LET ME INTO MY ACCOUNT


In that case, this seems account specific. Please let Support know via https://ovoenergy.com/help .

Please also try from the mobile app, it’ll help with diagnostics.


Website also down for me and some of my friends

 Seems to be a wider issue impacting some but not all users 

App is fine for me.

I see someone has posted the same issue on the ovo twitter page as well.

I suspect it will come back soon so won't bother logging a call.

Apologies for the issue this morning.

 

I’ve checked this with the team who confirmed there was an issue, but this should now be resolved and you should be able to access your account no bother again. And if you’ve not got the app yet, It's free to download from the App Store and Google Play.
