Unbelievable. So I moved out and my daughter set up an account with OVO at my former address - new name and new bank details. Sounds simple, no, they opened an account with her details and have now closed the account.

She has now received a letter to the house addressed to The Occupier, quoting a variable tariff when she specifically asked for a fixed rate tariff. Am not holding my breath for the response.

Sorry to hear about this.

 

If your daughter gets in touch with the Support Team they’ll be able to reverse the move out that’s happened on your daughters account, and get that open again. It should also be possible for them to re-instate the fixed contract that she’d agreed to. 


Thanks for that, she has already contacted them and they are allegedly treating this as a matter of urgency. We shall see.
