So recently decided to use Ovo boiler service, instead of my regular person. They sent someone on 27th Sept who said the boiler was in PERFECT CONDITION! A week later, boiler is showing signs of pressure loss, and unable to fill back up. When I called them I am told I do not have service cover & they can’t do anything. The boiler has been working fine ALL YEAR, till they showed up. Now I have to write to complaints and it will take 14 days to respond. This is just the worst result from using a so called reputable company.
Hey
Really sorry to hear this,
You should be able to request a job report from the engineer visit. Does the boiler need re-pressurising? I’ve done this myself at home before a few times as it’s common for boilers to lose pressure over time.
If it’s a more complex issue than this you could ask the person you usually use. If they provide a job report that says the fault was due to OVO then you may be able to get the money recompensated.

I will request a report. But the engineer himself did the pressure, beforehand it was perfectly okay. He left saying boiler in perfect order.
Also the reason I rang them is I am now no longer able to refil the boiler with pressure. After the workman came and did whatever he did to it. I will go through complaints but also a higher body who regulates energy companies. If they now offer additional services but actually are sending workmen who are unfit for the task. I wonder how many other people have had this experience. How can they just “serviced” my boiler to say it is fit and a week later it breaks down. It’s too much of a
I understand how frustrating this must be
Keep us posted with how it goes with the complaints team.
