I've just logged on to check my account balance and usage and am massively in credit and none of my previous month's bills are what they used to be.

It appears all the gas information and charges have been wiped from my account. 

My plan details only show electricity details, nothing for gas 

Is there an issue with this that anyone knows of?

Hi @Caz69 it is unusual.

We did see someone had their electricity readings wiped recently

When this sort of thing happens all your bills are impacted as OVO create them dynamically.

I don't work for OVO, i am a customer like you. 

I suggest contacting OVO in the morning.

Hi, same happened to me yesterday as I check app daily. Suddenly over £700 in credit and no gas details. Sent message to over (not answered yet) BUT did receive email (generic) from Ovo this morning advising me I’ve been switched to their variable rate account. Went into app all info now there and balance adjusted. Guess I’ll ‘suck it and see’

@GreenOrchid Did you ask to switch or have you come to the end of a fixed rate deal?

Have the unit rates or standing charges changed on the plan page?

Hi no, my fixed rate started October 2022 and ends 2024. However, they’re only telling me rates for gas which are (today) cheaper on variable than fixed?? So am in conversation with Ovo about both gas and electricity because not sure how electricity is impacted. Confusing MUCH!!

@GreenOrchid That is correct. If your fixed rate for gas was very high, then yes the variable rate may well be cheaper due to the way the Energy Price Guarantee discounts the fixed rate.

See how you get on with OVO Support explaining it for your specific fixed rate.

I have been onto OVO chat today to find out what happened last night and they have no idea.  As everything appears to be back to normal, we will watch this space.  I also received an e-mail to tell me my gas account was now on the Simpler Energy tariff which it has been since October 2022.  

Who knows what happened last night.
