My Warm Home Discount looks odd on my billing summary?

It says on my bill, It was applied to my acc, but I also had £120 in credit, which I had paid in.

Its doesnt seem to add up. £150 + £120 = £270. That doesn’t appear on my Nov bill. Anyone have the same problem?

Minus charges are credits. This looks correct based on what you’re showing us.

Thanks.

It just didnt seem to add up.

When u look at the bill.

So where’s the £270 gone...

Have another look; you seem to have missed out the Total cost - the cost of fuel and standing charges from the calculation.

Total cost + Other charges = Total charges

Opening balance - Charges + Payments = Closing balance.

In this case, because of the WHD credit, your Total charges are only a small figure, negative at that. It looks like the costs were £141.60. Remember that minus minus equals plus:

Total cost

+

Other charges

=

Total charges
£141.60

+

– £142.92

=

– £1.32
Opening balance

Charges

+

Payments

=

Closing balance
– £56.69

– £1.32

+

£120.00

=

£64.63

Does this make sense?

Yeh, I guess so.

It’s just with Swalec, it was far easier to understand.

But we had no choice when we were migrated over.
