Solved
My direct debit has jumped from £127 to £182 which I can't afford. It kept going up last year and I ended up being in credit and getting a refund of £200-£300. I would rather have a lower bill each month, especially at this time of the year the usage will be lower. I'm trying to find out if I left OVO, do we pay in advance or arrears, don't want to have another bill. Thanks.

The Direct Debit is set to cover the usage throughout the year spreading the cost more evenly and with the help of our live billing system, this means your balance should reflects the usage as of the moment you view it on your account.
Your Direct Debit amount may differ from what appears on your energy bill, so there may be credit remaining after if you’ve had a low use month or you could still owe us money if you’ve used more energy than the Direct Debit amount.
Your Direct Debit payment amount will be regularly reviewed to make sure it still covers your home’s energy use.
