Do I have the right to cancel my Direct Debit if a billing problem has not been solved yet?

It's just that I thought today I may as well cancel it, I find it unfair that they expect me to still pay off a debt that I do not owe, and I assume I'm not the only one who has fallen victim to their poor bill estimations and typing errors.

Hi @CallumD

As Blastoise186 has mentioned, if you’re on a fixed tariff, you need to keep your Direct Debit in tact in order to maintain that plan. If you cancelled the Direct Debit on a fixed plan, you’d revert to our Standard Variable Plan instead.

It sounds like it might be worth speaking with the Support Team about this, but if you’ve been over estimated and continue to pay as normal, the account will be rebilled and anything overcharged in billing estimates will be corrected and the balance would reflect these changes.

Nope, that “right” does not exist as such. If you’re on a Fixed Rate Tariff, you must keep a DD active at all times - regardless of account status.
