Hi

Since having my new meters fitted the IHD loses its connection, sometimes for a month, I think it's faulty, does anyone else have this problem?

@Kellyrose I get the feeling you’re not going to return. But if you do, please help us to help you by providing the requested information:

  • A few photos of the Smart Meter AND your IHD
  • More details on exactly what the issue is - “My Smart Meter not working” doesn’t tell us much - how is it not working exactly?

IHDs are generally powered from the wall, please make sure it’s plugged in as they don’t all have batteries. Of those that do, the battery is only intended for short periods and shouldn’t be relied on as the primary power source.

Some more details of just what is wrong might be handy.

Is it blank?
Try plugging it in or changing the batteries.

Is it showing an error message?
If so the please tell us what it says, or better still photograph it and add the photo to your next post.

Something else?
Please tell us what you see, or again photograph it and post the photos.

That status code suggests it’s a Geo Trio unit @NickR . Is this from another supplier originally?

22-0 right? Seems like the Comms Hub needs a reboot. OVO should be able to request that to be done remotely IIRC, but it may take a while cuz DCC is sloooooooooow.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your IHD.

 

I’m glad to see a couple of our volunteers have already stopped by to help out, and as Blastoise186 has mentioned, the Support Team should be able to help fix this remotely.
