the electric rate per hour is almost real time. However the gas refresh rate is approx half hourly. Is it possible to get both refresh rates to near real time?

Hi @Blackpool , unfortunately not. As the gas meter data system works from a battery, it conserves its energy by only updating every 30 mins. 
I use a Hildebrand Glow (3rd party) IHD and even with that ‘direct’ connection it is the same
