Hi,
We asked Ovo for an IHD well over a year ago and were advised one would be sent when Ovo had a suitable model back in stock, unfortunately nothing has ever arrived.
However we have been given an unwanted Scottish Power Chameleon IHD3-PPMID-V3 (from a different address/account), can this be paired with our SMETS1 meters (Landis Gyr E470/G470, Trilliant SEAP-2001-V)?

Short answer: Nope!
Slightly longer answer: That IHD is completely incompatible with your meter. It’s also a case that you CANNOT move IHDs between addresses - whichever address it was originally paired to, is the one you must leave it at indefinitely. Transfers are not allowed. OVO is also struggling to get S1 IHDs in, so you might never be able to get one - this is beyond OVO’s control.
