Assuming you mean on the meter rather than the IHD … The only thing I can find on this @Robbie4756  is

“Kaifa. If the meter screen is off, press either button once to wake it up. Press and hold the up button, if you have a pin you will need to enter it, otherwise press and hold the up button again. When the screen changes, continue to press the up button until you see “ECR Balance”.

Thanks for the info. It worked a treat. I've been chatting to ovo this morning to find out, but they couldn't tell me that.

I think that may be a smart meter in PAYG mode, have you used all the emergency credit and run out completely? 

The displayed message saying - “Sum of Meter Balance and Emergency CRedit below disabled threshold” - appears to say that is what has happened.

(Also known, perhaps unhelpfully, as a “self-disconection”).

If you are struggling to top up for whatever reason then there are options available.
