I have a bluesun BSE6KL1 hybrid solar inverter  (rebadged Megarevo R6KL) and Solarman smart App. I am failing to set the following parameters on either device:

Grid Ctrl:

P%_Feed

P_Feed

P%_Back

P_Back

As soon as I switch to grid the inverter tries to send PV W back to the grid. As I dont have a feedback/two way meter it causes a major fault/trip. Currently P%_Feed is 100% and I cant change it.

I can see the setting on the inverter menu but it wont allow me to change it

There’s an installation guide here and a few downloads available here

Hey there! I've been working with solar inverters for a while now, and I think I might be able to help you with that BSE6KL1.

To better understand the issue, could you please elaborate a bit more on:

  • Your grid connection: Is it a single-phase or three-phase system?
  • Local regulations: Are there any specific grid-tie regulations in your area that you need to comply with?
  • Inverter firmware: Have you tried updating the inverter's firmware to the latest version? Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve strange behaviors.

Also, have you tried reaching out to Bluesun or Megarevo's technical support? They might have specific guidelines or troubleshooting steps for your model. 🟩

Hi thanks

First guide is solar panel related and second is a data sheet. I will try other forum. Tx

Hi

Single-phase

No regulations as such, but we can’t supply to the grid as yet (Zambia)

I can’t find a prompt on the App or the inverter to update the firmware

I have contacted their support, but still waiting

Yes - here’s where this site is not ideal for you. Being a UK based forum, we don’t have a full list of other territory specifications, rules & regulations etc.

One user was able to get a firmware update but the other wider based forums might help more

Hey @Origjoe101

Sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having.

As BPLightlog has mentioned, we’re a UK based forum so it can be hard to find the right answer sometimes for elsewhere.

It may be worth reaching out to Bluesun directly for support. It looks like they have lots of contact options so hopefully you can get some more help with them.

BlueSun did contact me and the solution was simple, where their manual shows the default password to be “0000” to enter the settings menu, it is actually “5432”

Doubt the fact because I’m in Zambia it affects the password

Hope this helps anyone in the same situation

Hey @Origjoe101

That’s amazing I’m really glad to hear they got back to you with a simple solution!

Thanks for coming back and updating us too, it’s likely to help someone else in the community at some stage too so it’s much appreciated!😊
