Still no resolution, if anything charging is even more sporadic than before.
I’m not confident this will get fixed anytime soon. I’ve asked the OVO team for some idea. Prefer them to be honest, if it is a probably not then that’s ok, just need to know where I stand. I’m guessing it’s not worth me holding out tbh.
But if I get no joy in the next week I am already looking at alternatives EV rates with more robust charging options. I really don’t want to move away from OVO, but if I can no longer get my vehicles to charge at a lower rate & have no idea when I will be able to again, then there are other providers that will be able to do this.

Given this has been going on for months I would switch I think. Especially as you have already tried chargeanytime@ovo.com
You could put in a complaint if you haven't already and see if this triggers anything in terms of extra investigations

You could include a link to this thread

You could also post on Trustpilot to see if this triggers any investigation

@Jeffus agree I think I need to cut my losses.
It’s going to be a tricky one for the energy companies & vehicle manufacturers to navigate. Who’s responsible? It could be either, but it’s the customer who will ultimately lose out and then vote with their feet if these things don’t get resolved.
I need to find myself a more robust cheaper EV rate which doesn’t rely on the vehicle app or the energy app. Probably looking for one I can set with a schedule on my wall box instead.
Keep it simple is sometimes the best resolution

I think that approach will work short term, but ultimately one day all the cheapest EV tariff will be those where the supplier has some control when EVs are charged to smooth the load and make use of cheaper 30min slots.
Fingers crossed over time your setup will be compatible with one of these intelligent tariff like OVO Anytime and Intelligent Octopus without regular issues.
Be good to hear what you do as it may help other posters in the future.
It is difficult to be sure, but it is rare on the forum that customers can't get OVO Anytime to work.
Good luck!
Hey @vix noonan,
Sorry to hear,
I’ll ask the team for an update and report back.
