Ford EV charging no longer working with Charge Anytime - what's happened?

I have a Ford Mach-E and have been using OVO charge anytime for about 4 months now.But Ford have decided OVO is a security risk and has blocked the account.Is anyone else using this successfully? Is there any plans for charge anytime to support Ford cars?

The heat pump starts off at a minimum of £500 per year due to the initial cost and that is after the grant. It’s over a £1,000 a year without a grant. The AAHP is standalone, £800 over 10 years. The gas boiler starts off at £4,000 over 15 years but probably 20 as it’s very lightly loaded. It’s only really going to be used on the coldest of days or if the electricity prices are high for some reason. With TRVs (that you can’t use with a heat pump) the gas boiler will only be heating the other rooms in the house as required to balance the heating. You are only asking the AAHP and the gas boiler to do what they do best so the combination is saving both money and gas at the same time. The immersion heater is saving gas on the lowest priced days but it’s capable of storing a certain amount of extra heat (as a  battery) for later use so may save more than is initially es

 This was supposed to be a short piece. My apologies in advance to the part of your life you won’t get back after you have  read it but it does a condense a lot of thought and research into one article so I think it’s worth reading. To save time you  can skip the boxes.   This is an personal journal of how the use of energy in one household has evolved over the past few years with a  surprising setback but also an unexpected development and future possibilities for getting towards Net Zero. However,  this is not about how a typical migration might happen. This is about an experiment that was kick started out of the chaos  that was the result of Covid and then Russia invading Ukraine and how it influenced my thinking about how to reduce my  costs with very high energy prices.. Anytime issues

I have just had an Indra charger fitted but when I tried to change to anytime, it asked me to use my logon details to log on to Kaluza. The fitter said Indra haven't used Kaluza in over a year and use Dynamo platform so my details don't match Kaluza ie I didn't need to create a password with Indra, just verified my email so I don't have a password that links to Kaluza.Has anyone else had this issue?

Indra Charger fails again

I have had the Indra Charger just over a year, initially it had problems with connectivity, an engineer came out and decided to change the unit as he thought it was faulty, the new unit has worked mostly for 9 months with a few times of going off line and needing a reboot.  It is connected to cell signal not to wifi or ethernet.The unit went off line three weeks ago now and has not re connected, I have tried to raise requests with Indra, I seem to get an initial response and then it disappears into a black hole.  Have tried ringing several times but never seem to get through the queue so it is impossible to speak to anyone.Is anyone else having similar issues?

ev charge schedule changed overnight to start at 7 am

Really disappointed with OVO as I can't get to work because the ev charge schedule was adjusted by Ovo to start at 7 AM.I ALWAYS check in the Ohme app that charge will come on through night allowing me to have enough charge to get to work. BUT, some time after 23.30, the schedule was adjusted to start at 7 am.Ovo need to guarantee a level of service otherwise I'll need to find another tariffI'm with Charge Anytime and have set Ohme up to add 70% every week day by 7.00 am.Suspect I'm not the only one with this issue.

Lexus and Charge Anytime

Hi there SO i have a new Lexus, im currently paying full whack to charge it.I had  smart meter fitted weeks ago but still not showing in the app.Lexus isn't listed in the list of comparable cars with my OHME charter, even though i charge it.What would happen if i select say a Toyota from the list??

Anytime charging now constantly starting and stopping

It was all working fine with two EVs set up and added to one account but then I noticed I’d been logged out of Anytime and upon going back in there were no longer any cars registered. It is now cycling continually between charging and not charging. What’s gone wrong? ID3 and Cupra Born

Not reaching set charge level

Since having OVO Charge Anytime my Tesla has charged over night and has been at the set 80% when I get in in the morning. Recently this keeps failing and I’m not getting to the 80%. Now that’s not a problem if I’m doin my normal commute I just have to put it on charge more regularly. A bit of a pain but I can cope.  But recently I’ve had to use public chargers because I’ve had longer journeys and OVO hasn’t. Got me to 80% in the morning. This is despite having 60% charge one time? I have emailed support but thought I would post here as well.  If this has been posted elsewhere then happy to be pointed in that direction but couldn’t see it with a quick search

I am trying to set up charge anytime , I get to the end where you confirm and I receive an error message stating they couldn’t connect my ev charger, my charger is online any ideas where I’m going wrong ?

Indra Smart Charger offline so no Charge Anytime savings

I have been using my Indra smart charger installed by ChargedEV for over a year and  Charge Anytime for some months with no problems. However, the charger went solid red and offline. Attempts to reset it have failed - soid purple meaning stuck at bootup. The boost button doesn't do anything, so having to use a granny charger for our two EVs. Awaiting a call back but they say could be 2 to 3 weeks for service. Meanwhile, I will be charged full price for electricity. I have solar so I can help manage that, but overall this is not very satisfactory. I see something here about an app from OVO for non smart chargers and Anytime, so it's it possible to use that while the charger gets fixed?

Indra Smart Pro does it now work with the Indra app on Charge Anytime?

Hi there, I am still using the web-based Indra portal to set my charging times with Charge Anytime.  This was the advice given as at the time of installing my charger, a few months ago, as there was a compatibility issue with Kaluza and the latest Firmware of in Indra Smart Pro. Has this issue now been resolved?  If so, can I now download the Indra App and connect my Indra Smart Pro so that I can use with the Charge Anytime tariff to set charging times. Thanks, Gary

Why does my charging stop suddenly when charging at home?

I got a BMW 330e PHEV in February, and have had continuous problems with charging at home from the start.  Charging will get under way OK, but be interrupted at frequent random intervals, so that I have to reset charging at the car, when charging will restart, only to fail after 2-50 minutes.  The problems occur at any time of day or night.  Details:1    BMW checked the car's charging 2 days ago, and found it free of any fault.  The car's charging control system is being triggered to shut off the supply of power by some change in the quality of the power supplied by OVO.2    interruptions occur whether I supply the power via my Indra Smart Pro charger OR via a 3-pin plug from one of our domestic sockets (using in this case the BMW-supplied Flexible Cable Charger.  So apparently the fault is arising upstream of both my domestic outlets and Indra Smart Pro charger and its separate cabling from the meter box.  As far as I can understand, this can only be in the meter box itself, or even i

charge anytime - How to get the cheap rate?

Hello,  I am seeing conflicting advice and information. OVO state on a thread on here that to qualify for credit, you need to enable a scheduled charge.  However, I have multiple people telling me they do not use a schedule at all, they simply plug in and tell the Ohme app they want 80% as quickly as possible and STILL receive the credit. This is because it’s classed as a “smart charge” because they’re using the Ohme app rather than “boost or max” button on the charger unit.  Is this correct - or do I need to set a schedule Ie: plug in at 18:00, tell it I want to add 65% by 06:30 the next morning.  I don’t want to be doing anything wrong when my car arrives next week and want to be getting the credit.  please can anyone clarify?

Do I really need 3 Apps to start Charge Anytime :(

ISSUE 1I charge a BMW iX at home (managed from my BMW App)I charge using Eazee-One (using Eazee-One App to lock able at night and authorise the charge so that no unauthorised person can charge while I am away)I HAVE to use OVO Charge anytime App to set the scheduleDo I really need to use 3 Apps just to charge my car???  What happened to “easy charging with OVO”, especially when one should be able to charge “Anytime”??ISSUE 2REGULARLY, I set all 3 APPs up at night to charge to 100% when I have a long journey next morning…. and REGULARLY, I wake up to find that despite having set:Charging limits on My BMW App (and to check all is ready) Enabled Eazee-One charger (and check all is ready)  Set accurate settings (Times and Max charging limits) on OVO charge Anytime APP, (even getting the message that “charing will start at 22:00” on the APP),and yet when I wake up, I find that no charging has happenned AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGHH !!!!!Why MUST OVO need to control my CAR as well as the CHARGER ????SO

trying to register my Ford Kuga, but kaluza seems to be stuck in a loop

Hi, as my title says. I had to call Ford to reset my account, I have them tried to add my car back on the OVO app but it’s getting stuck in a loop. It says click ok to approve T and C. Once I have done that it does to another page for T and C but doesn’t go to the Ford log in page as it should.

Hello Like most people in this forum, I've recently started having issues with my Ford MachE using charge anytime. I seen on another thread we're hopeful to have an update today, can anyone confirm if we've a resolution.Ill simply have no other option but to leave and join one of the company's offering a discounted EV

You need a compatible vehicle or smart charger for Charge Anytime, not both If you have an eligible electric vehicle (EV), you can benefit from Charge Anytime. You’ll be able to use the Charge Anytime app without needing an eligible smart charger or smart charger app. If you have an eligible charger, you’ll be able to benefit from Charge Anytime without needing an eligible EV. Mercedes max. charge level discussion- Any workarounds?

I have read through some of the forum topics and it is well-documented that Mercedes and Indra/OVO has an as yet unresolved problem, that being the maximum charge level is re-set to 50% by software Gremlins.I wanted to start a dedicated forum topic about this issue and keep it going until it is resolved, because this is not a minor inconvenience. It would be THE reason for me to not have ordered and signed a finance engagement for a Mercedes EV, or paid over £1000 to OVO for a charger. In my circumstances, charging at home is a key reason to have an EV. Without that, I would go back to a diesel tomorrow.I will update the thread when Mercedes replies to me by email, now that I have been able to pinpoint the issue for them. So far (before I knew there was a big problem), they have replied quickly but with the generic “reinstall the Mercedes Me app - send fault logs - what phone are you using” etc etc etc.So, I invite you to write your workarounds (if there are any), your communication wi

Ford electric vehicle smart charging issue with OVO Charge Anytime?

Earlier this week Ford Pass suspended my account as linked with OVO (3rd Party App)Therefore I am unable to use and will cost c£100 per month more on my electricity bill.Is anyone else experiencing this issue and what are Ford and OVO doing to resolve?I use a Pod Point 7kw charger to charge a Ford Mustang Mach E XL using the OVO Charge anytime App linked to my Ford Pass for the smart charging to give me best rate.

Why is Charge Anytime not updating compared to renault app

Currently having issues with Charge Anytime not updating Charge % and range.  It is picking up if car is away from home or if it is not plugged in.  Seems like some of the Renault metadata is being read and some not.  Anyone else seeing this?   First noticed on Wednesday Iast week and reported it by email on Thursday.  Was briefly working on Thursday but now stuck at 100% and 16 miles since Friday.  Anyone else seen anything similar?
