Hey everyone, I am new to this but did you get your emails from the Power move challenge yet! When I opt in for it it said at the middle of the month will get an update but still didn’t receive anything. Just wondering how this work. Thanks
Well l never achieve any of the monthly targets. but when they use to do the hourly ones it was quite easy. they say don’t use appliances from 6 to 9. but it’s quite difficult we have our dinner from eight onwards so why should we wait any longer as my husband is diabetic so have to eat certain times. otherwise would be feeling poorly.
I’ve been doing power move since last summer & have been getting mid-month updates for quite a few months, plus the end of month results. I have managed to meet the targets every month, but sometimes it’s not been easy.
They’re not asking you to forgo your tea/dinner especially if there’s a medical reason to eat regularly at certain times.
I myself have to eat before 6.30 or so for medical reasons, which is OK at the moment but when we had to move usage out of the 4 to 7pm time slot it could have been difficult. However, by making sure I cooked my meals in bulk at non-peak times & froze them, ready to have a quick microwave heat up when I wanted to eat them, I was able to meet target every time. Another option is to cook enough for the next day as well & simply reheat the next day, & that way you’re only using peak electricity every other day.
Obviously don’t dice with your husband’s health - but maybe have a go at cooking his meals at a different time & microwaving them when he needs to eat? It’s worth a try, surely?
I never get emails snd they dont go into junk and my email address is correct.

Hello, I joined Power Move last month but not receiving any emails to update me on progress, nor any credits showing on my account. When I login it says 'joined'. Can you please resolve this issue ASAP to ensure I get the emails and credits. My meter readings are working fine and set to half hourly update.
You'll only get two updates on your Power Move info. One just after the 15th and another just after the first. The first one will tell you how you are doing and the 2nd one will tell you your total outcome for the month. You said that you joined 'last month', so if you joined in Aug you should have gotten a email just after the 15th. If you joined after the first of Sept, then you won't be eligible until Oct as I believe you have to be a part of it for a while month first. And would mean you won't get your first update until just after Oct 15th. You can check your daily usage and where YOU think you stand by logging into your account, but you'll have to do the calculations everyday. I check mine everyday and so far have met all requirements for the max reward since it started by using a little trick I discovered. When I tried to share that info, a lot of people said I was wrong and it can't be done 'that way' !!! Laughs on them.
