Hi all,

Had a new ASHP installed mid October 23, we had to put the pump on opposite side of the property to the cylinder thus running the pipes the width of the house under the first floor floorboards.

It seems loud…..pipes knocking when ramping up and a fairly constant “flow” noise.

Wondering I’d the community has similar issues with the internal workings being loud?

thanks

Sorry Dannymo,

my heat pump a large Grant is virtually silent. It sounds as if your pipes are touching something and are vibrating against the joists. Alternatively they are not supported well and have too much distance between fixings.

I am fortunate though as my pipes only have to travel about 30ft.

Maybe air in the circuit? You should have some automatic release valves, make sure they’re open. What’s the pressure reading? Is it constant?
