How do I read my FIT Generation Meter for the export reading?

I am unsure what I information I need to supply when required to give generation meter readings. Below is a photograph of what I believe is my generation meter. Do I just supply the 5 digits to the left of the decimal point? Do I ignore the digits after the decimal point?
Also OVO have told me I need to supply an EXP reading. My photograph has an arrow next to IMP - is this right? - do I need to change it to point to EXP? If so I cannot see how to do this - there are no buttons on the unit.

TIA

Hi @abridgway70 ,

It’d just be the ones before the decimal point - in this case the IMP Reading would be 23222. It should automatically cycle to the EXP Reading every so often so you can grab that too if needed.

With that being said, there may be another meter in the property - try looking for one.

Thanks @Blastoise186 - you have offered me information in your reply than numerous telephone calls to the OVO FIT team. 👍
I don’t think there is a separate export meter - I’ll watch to see if it cycles between import and export. Am I right in thinking that EXP is what they want and calculate the payments on?

Yes, I believe it probably would be that one based on the documentation I’ve got for that meter.

@abridgway70 with that type of meter, they usually work out the difference between import and export (for generation readings).

Some meters actually have a ‘NET’ reading too.
As Blastoise mentions the meter should cycle between the various options (watch where the arrow points)

I have watched this meter for a considerable time and it does not switch between IMP / EXP. I am sure there is no separate EXPORT meter

Depending on what has been asked for I wonder if you’re on a measured export rather than deemed?

There might be an export reading on your smart meter itself although that doesn’t record generation of course.
So your Generation reading is as has been discussed above and any Export reading could be from your smart meter if it shows this (if you’re unsure, post a photo of your smart meter and we’ll have a look)
