It would be great to have an emergency credit feature on the app.  With meter readings changing to half hourly soon I'll be able to see more accurately how much credit I have. If I'm away from home I obviously can't access emergency credit. I know I can phone customer services but it would be so much simpler to be able to do it via app.  Also, it's a shame the app doesn't beep when credit goes low. I've been caught out a few times.  My son's with a different provider does

Howdy!

Gonna say this first - I really do like this idea, so you have my vote too! ANYTHING that improves the experience for customers is absolutely something I consider totally cool.

I think the snag is that the current OVO Top-Up app is actually developed by Paypoint rather than OVO, so I’m not sure how easy it would be to implement this and/or whether there’s somewhere this idea can be sent to for it to be looked at. OVO doesn’t have direct control over the code so I suspect it’d have to be forwarded to Paypoint for their developers to consider.

Doesn’t mean it’s impossible - just that it might be more tricky!

Hey @kazleesi

Welcome to the Forum, great ideas you have there!

I’ve changed the status to ‘Can’t be done yet’, as Blastoise186 has mentioned, the Pay as you Go app is run and designed by Paypoint. OVO doesn’t have direct control over changes, but we can take this feedback away and work with them to have such things implemented, if the team aren’t already working away on this in the background.

I’m going to reach out to the team to check on what you’ve mentioned, I’ll pop back if the team have anything to share with us.
