Are there conditions to the free electricity offer?

At my phone it appears next to the ‘Power Move’ tab. Both – at the home page and on the ‘Beyond’ one. 

 

I can see this page on the app but not where I can register or choose a time slot.   Where exactly is it?

Hmm let me register and choose slots this time.

I have managed to book my first two free slots, but the first week available is not 18th May as advertised before the registration and slot choice windows became available. The first week is, in fact, from 25th May (slots to be chosen by Sunday 24th May).

 

It was always quite clear that the offer would open this week so that you could choose days for next week.

From the Terms and Conditions (my highlighting):

1. About this offer

By joining the Offer, eligible customers can choose 2 hours of free home electricity (unit rate only) each week, up to a maximum of 8 hours each month, subject to the exclusions noted in these Terms.

You can join up to the Offer and select your weekly hours within the OVO Energy app from 18 May 2026, the first week of free electricity will be 25 May 2026. The Offer will close to new joiners on 12 July 2026 and the free electricity slots will end 2 August 2026 @23:59pm.

 

That is the way that the Free Energy offers have always worked you pick in one week the free hours that you want in the next week.

It is clear from the Terms and Conditions, but not from the original graphic.

This implies that the first week is 18th May, not 25th.

Ah, I see what you mean.

TBH, I'm sure the person who writes those works in advertising most of the time  (Where headlines don't always reflect the facts).

The team have asked if you’d be able to make sure the app has been fully closed down, and restart the app up again after it’s been closed. (ie hard close where you swipe it to totally close). 

 

Hopefully that’ll help, but if not do come back and let us know.

@Abby_OVO  Still not showing the free 2 hours electricity after force closing the app & iPad restarted again

Not showing on my android smartphone either, also closed down the app & a phone restarted.

Try uninstalling the app and then reinstall it. I had to do that last year before I could see it. I'm on a Samsung mobile.

Unfortunately ​@Belinda5 re:installing the ovo energy app isn’t doing anything to resolve things my end, still no free electric offer for me.
