We have a Secure Liberty 100 Smartmeter.

What is the function of the red led to the right of the key pad? Ours flashes briefly once per second.

Hi @DavidA2017,

I've added a couple of tags to this post so other users can find it.

The light you're describing is called the "Metrology" light. This indicates that electricity is flowing through the meter. This light might go off in instances of a power cut, or if there's something wrong with your incoming supply.

Fun fact: 3,200 flashes equate to 1KWh used!

Hope this helps,
Nancy

@lindah I'm sure the red flashing light is just an indicator of electric usage. I think the quicker it flashes the more energy is been used. Try turning all of your electric off, including the trip switches and see if that makes a difference.

Red flashing light is perfectly normal, no idea why they chose red though, maybe cheaper than green :)
