Hey Lee1976uk,

When a customer switches, it takes between 4-6 weeks for this to be completed. It then takes a further 4-6 weeks for the opening meter readings to be checked over and passed back to each supplier. This may be what’s happened here as both the gas and electricity reading can be sent back at different times. If this is the case, leave it until the 8th June before contacting the team to chase, as it might still be in progress!

It’s unlikely that we’ll be able to communicate with your SSE smart meters, but feel free to double check this with the Social team. You can contact them on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ovoenergy/ or Twitter - https://twitter.com/OVOEnergy.

If we can’t communicate with them, and you’re happy to provide readings, that’s great - nothing needs to change! If you’d like all the functions that a smart meter can provide, you can check the availability of smart appointments in your area and book in for one here: smart.ovoenergy.com/credit.
