New smart meter fitted today but no reading?

3 hours to replace Smets1 with Smets2. Not a problem but annoyingly no signal for gas reading. Had no problem with first generation. Engineer said new meter has a weaker signal and OVO are working on it. May be 6 months before technology is improved.

Sorry for the delay responding to this. I think your post slipped under the radar!

Sounds like it might be something to do with the gas meter location or setup. Were is it located, and is it in a box, specifically one made out of metal?
