I do not believe that OVO Energy has any plans to introduce a subscription charge for joining Power Move at present. However, this needs to be shown on your bill as its a service that is VATable. This ensures that OVO Energy is complient with the requirements of HMRC.
If a service it doesn’t exist, how can it be VATable ?
In this case the service does exist but it is just charged a £0.00 hence it needs to be shown with a figure for the 5% VAT which of course will also be zero. OVO May also need this to be included for its own internal accounting.
No plans to charge, it's the way we add Power Move credits to the account it requires a "bolt-on" and that bolt-on, for Power Move to appear on the bill, needs a description so we've just named it Power Move Subscription but will remain with a £0 value.
When Power Move rewards are applied, the actual reward will show as "Power Move", and this "Power Move Subscription" will be lower down with £0 next to it
Thank you very much for the replies. One less thing to worry about
Power Move credits should now have been applied for those that have had delayed payments this month
