Smart meter couldn't be installed, do I use my old key and card to top up?

Hi me again..sorry 😏
My smart meters couldn't be fitted as I need a relay and the engineer didn't have one with him, my account was set up for them and have my smart card to top up, as they was not installed do I just use my normal ovo key and card to top up? I even got an email saying that my balance was low and can top up online 🤔 confused.....

Thanks for sharing this great question on the OVO Forum, Tash. I've added the odd word to the title, and added a few tags, to help other users find this topic.

If your smart meters weren't fitted, you'll need to carry on using your old OVO key and card, given to you to top up your old meters. I'd disregard the email you were sent about a low balance. This was automated when your online account was getting set up. Keep the smart top up card handy though, ready for when those smart meters are fitted next month!
