This Is Money, a news site reporting on all things financial, has written an insightful article on the debate: are electric vehicles better for the environment that petrol or diesel?

BNEF research shows that electric vehicles, even when charged with non-renewable power, still generate 40% less CO2 emissions than outputs of cars with internal combustion engines.
