We have gas and electricity on sight.
We cook with gas and electricity.
We heat the house with gas central heating.
We are considering converting to electric heating and would like to know our options and costs.

Hey @Dickensians,

If you are looking to remove the gas supply completely from your home, we can certainly provide you with the rates available for you with an electric only supply.

We would be able to offer you a single rate, or an ECO7 rate, this can often be beneficial to customers with electricity only, more info here.

If you're not going to be using gas at your property we can arrange for the meter to be removed. There is a charge of £106 which is payable prior to confirming the appointment date. You'd need to call our team on: 0330 303 5063 to organise this.

Once we’ve removed it, you’ll need to get in touch with your local network to ask them to disconnect the incoming gas service from the street. You might have to pay for this. If you then later decide to get gas again then you’ll have to arrange this with the local gas network (remember that you’ll have to pay for this). It’s likely any new meter will be housed outside your property.

Any work needed in your home regarding potential appliances being changed, would need to be arranged by yourself. We would recommend using gas safe and NICEIC approved engineers.

Hope this helps

Any other questions, please lets us know.
