Is it possible to have OVO supplying two properties under the same account?


Hi, I've recently got a new job and will be renting a new flat in the short term until I can sell my current flat. In the meantime my partner will be living at the current flat, so we still need our OVO gas and electricity there, but I am keen to stay with OVO at the new flat as well.

Is this possible, and if so what's the best way of going about it? I was thinking of using the moving home tool, but will this mean our existing account will be cancelled?

In short - you can have 2 accounts under the same name, @jhighmore

You'll need to get your partner added to the current account which you can do by contacting our Care team. Call them on 0330 303 5063, email them at hello@ovoenergy.com or send them a PM on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ovoenergy.

Energy companies supply the property as opposed to the customer. So when you move out, we'll still be supplying the flat unless the new tenants switch away. You'll inherit whoever already supplies the property you're moving to. If you wanted us to supply you there, you'd need to request a brand new switch once you've moved in - https://switch.ovoenergy.com.

When you move out of the flat, you can let us know by filling out the 'Moving home' section on your My OVO account - https://my.ovoenergy.com/login. We'll then get the account final billed and closed down to the date you're no longer financially liable there.
