Any advice with noisy pipes?!

Hello,
We've moved into a private rental property (flat) and our bedroom on the ground floor is above the cellar.
All pipes from outside, water and gas, come in to the building to the cellar. There's a constant noise from some of the pipes that sounds like a kettle boiling - it's really loud and right below our heads when trying to sleep! We're 99% sure it's the gas pipe. The meter is also very close to the bedroom, just the other side of the wall in the hall.

Is there anything that can be done with this pipe? We just want a quiet night's sleep!

Thanks!

Hey @Kayaybee,

This does sound irritating! Have you spoken to your lanlord/landlady/letting agency about this at all?
