So since April 2018 I have been using Shadow which is a virtual machine that you can access from anywhere as long as you have a Windows machine, mac, iPhone or Android. My primary use for the computer is for my live streams and gaming but I plan to do a lot more in the future. The computer specs are an 8 core Intel processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB SSD (Optional 1TB SSD) and GTX 1080 (Being upgraded to 2080 soon).

So basically paying £16 a month for top of the range PC where I can take anywhere with me and continue to play games on the go. With computer hardware always being upgraded I see this paid for service a steal! I absolutely love it. People may ask "What about latency?" Well, I don't see or haven't experienced any latency or image quality drop and I am only on FTTC broadband connection. The service runs amazing on 4G too! Shadow are currently advertising you to require 15mbps connection for a smooth experience, but within the app you can choose to use 5mbps.

I love the service that much, I would highly recommend you all give it a go. You are not tied into a contract so if you feel like it isn't for you, you can cancel with no cancellation fees.

If you feel you would like to give it a go. I would recommend you use my Discount code which will provide you £10 discount off Shadow 🙂 DISCOUNT CODE - SUPERHAPPYANDGAMING .At the moment I currently use the Shadow box which is what they offered at the beginning but because they have sold out, they are releasing a brand new box in November 😃 I will be getting my hands on that which I cannot wait for!

Any questions, please let me know!

You can also get a similar for gaming (although not as flexible) service through Nvidia.
Currently they have a beta running and it is free! I'm sure they will charge in the future. I got accepted.

They also have devices you can put on your desktop/TV

Honestly dude I would highly recommend you try out Shadow.
Interesting Post. Though Cloud Computing is expanding daily and AWS taking over, taking rackspace's clients, it is becoming the future. But there lies many dark and negative sides to it too. Like AWS' security is top notch, still the security threat to the cloud world is there and will remain. So it's not yet ideal, but can soon be.

@JackRyan

I have been using Shadow for over a year now. It is wicked! In terms of security, they use two factor authentication every time you login. As for security server, here is there security page; https://shadow.tech/gben/faq#section-7
wow, really nice experience, but could you tell me which games you running on it, and what devices are you using?

@prohibited

Well it's a fully fledged Windows PC. So you can run any games 😁 here is an example me playing Forza 4 Max settings on a 4 year old tablet using Shadow over Wi-Fi 😍
