On 4th October, during her speech to the Conservative party conference, Theresa May announced she intends to push ahead with an energy price cap.

The press release is unclear if Ovo are for or against the price cap?

Surely a price cap will have little impact on customers and just give companies a high bar that they can aim for to maximise profit. Wouldn't this potentially create a oligopoly type situation in the energy market?
